Product Description 
Metal track (or runner) is a U-shaped channel, roll-formed from corrosion-resistant galvanized steel for corresponding stud sizes & gauges. Inside width of the track web is equivalent to the outside width of the matching stud. Track is used in the metal framing assembly to align & secure studs to floors & ceilings; also used in conjunction with studs for constructing openings, headers & sills. Metal studs are twisted into top & bottom track & typically screw attached using 7/16" pan head framing screws.
- An integral component of the metal framing assembly, track contributes to straighter walls, resistant to mold, noncombustible systems & protection from structural damage due to insect infiltration.
