The heavy-duty, powder coated saddle plate is for laminated (LVL) or dimensional lumber beams support the beams on the bottom and allows connection of fasteners into the side.
- Saddle supports the beam on the bottom & allows for through connection of fasteners into side of the beam

- Effective April 1, 2009, if you are using a laminated (LVL) or dimensional lumber beam you must use a saddle plate in conjunction with adjustable steel columns per UDC (Uniform Dwelling Code)
