The Information Systems Department is responsible for all of the technical equipment of Menard, Inc. This expanding department has Team Members in programming, hardware support, networking, Windows administration, project management, quality assurance, database administration and technical architecture. This department utilizes different methods of technology to provide great service to Menards® guests and Team Members.
As we continue to grow, these departments focus on opening new stores, distribution centers and manufacturing sites and continue to improve our existing locations through expansion and remodeling. They focus on the design and construction for our new Stores and Distribution Centers. Their responsibilities include choosing fixtures and designing the interior layouts of these new locations. They also assist in the remodeling of existing Stores and Distribution Centers.
The Legal Department is responsible for providing legal support to the various divisions and departments of the company and deals with a wide range of legal issues.
The Real Estate Department researches and purchases land for Menards® expansion and investment and also sells and leases excess properties. This department consists of legal, acquisition and disposition teams.
The Accounting/Finance Department creates monthly financial statements, analyzes general ledger accounts and creates and verifies other financial reports. This department does all cost accounting, planning, forecasting, reporting, analyzing and consulting on all activities related to the company's operations.
We offer paid internships in Information Systems, Human Resources, Merchandising and Marketing. Our internships provide on-the-job training and learning experiences that will help develop an overall understanding of the skills needed to be successful in your field of study and future career.
The Imports Department is involved in all aspects of merchandising, advertising and procurement of imported products. Their responsibilities include communication with Merchandise Managers and Distribution Centers on the status of program timelines, development and execution.
Our Facilities Department encompasses grounds maintenance, building maintenance and the mailroom. Grounds maintenance will offer you the opportunity to operate a backhoe, snowplow and dump truck. Our building maintenance team troubleshoots and makes minor repairs to equipment. The mailroom sorts all incoming mail and packages. You will also deliver mail and operate motorized equipment. The Merchandising Departments are responsible for all products sold in our store locations and for the promotion of those products to our guests. There are many opportunities offered in the following areas: buying, inventory analysis, advertising analysis, product placement, graphic design, auditing and online sales.
The Marketing Team develops advertising campaigns that drive guest traffic to Menards®. The team is faced with exciting, daily challenges, whether creating radio and television commercials, designing printed advertising materials or running events and promotions. The Marketing Team not only creates the advertising but also buys advertising, processes invoices, creates the company magazine, sells gift cards, produces videos, works on web projects and much more. The Marketing Team works together as a Menards® in-house advertising agency.
The HR Department is responsible for servicing and maintaining Menards®' most valuable resources: its Team Members! This department serves as the hub of communication in the recruitment of various positions and is also responsible for implementing strategies and policies relating to the team.
The E-Commerce Team is the fastest growing department within Menards® and is quickly creating a one-stop shopping place for everything at Menards®. Through Menards.com we strive to provide exceptional guest service while giving our guests an enjoyable shopping experience online. As a member of our Team, you will help us ensure accurate product information and provide quality products at the lowest price.
These positions exist in all departments at the Corporate Office. These individuals are responsible for supporting Team Members in their department by filing, answering phones, entering data, running reports, scheduling, handling payroll, organizing and carrying out other miscellaneous duties.
Our Flight Department offers opportunities for pilots and mechanics. As a pilot, you will be responsible for pre-flight tasks, fuel orders, aircraft towing and weather briefing. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and inspections on our company aircraft.
Our Industrial Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the entire Menards® fleet of motorized equipment. These positions perform major and minor repairs/service work on forklifts, cars, trucks, trailers, etc.
