How To Apply Opportunities

To apply for a Menards® General Office position, we prefer that all applications and resume submissions be made through our online career center. Our Career Center has been designed to make the application and resume submission process fast and easy. When you apply through our online system, you will receive an email confirming that your application is in the system and that we will review it.

Explore Departments
• Building Materials
Building Materials supplies the lumber, insulation, drywall, roofing and siding materials, fence products, gutters, concrete, patio, and retaining wall blocks. This department has various self-service kiosks to help guests create their own projects.
• Hardware
Known for “carrying odds and ends” for the project, the Hardware department handles a variety of products from common and contractor-grade (MasterForce) tools and fasteners to seasonal products, such as Christmas, Halloween, and Easter decorations and patio furniture. Plants and a garden center are in most locations.
• Electrical
This department has all the lighting and wiring products for a Guest’s project – lights, fans, light bulbs, electrical boxes, fuses, switch plates, wire, and conduct. Electrical also houses audio/video products and home security products, such as fire extinguishers.
• Cabinets and Appliances
Guests will want to stop by Cabinets and Appliances when shopping for different types of cabinetry (available in stock or special order), countertops, and/or a variety of household appliances.
• Millwork
Doors, windows, moldings, stair parts, and garage doors and openers are carried by the Millwork department. Millwork also has a variety of products that can be special ordered, including Mastercraft^® Doors.
• Wallcoverings
This department provides Guests with items needed to complete a painting project: paint, stain, rollers, caulking, stenciling, tape, etc. Wallcoverings carries products to complete a ceiling tile or paneling project. Some Wallcoverings departments also have a Grocery and Pet section and offer a variety of food, beverages, pet supplies, and accessories.
• Plumbing
Plumbing carries many of the typical “home improvement” products, such as toilets, showers, vanities, sinks, vents, water heaters/softeners, plumbing pipe and its accessories, and plumbing tools. Houseware cleaners and supplies are also located in Plumbing.
• Floorcoverings
The Floorcovering department has a variety of flooring and window coverings: tile, laminate, carpet, hardwood, resilient, blinds, and curtains. Sell the project by offering Guests products needed to finish flooring (grout, flooring tools, floor cleaning products, etc.), which are all sold in Floorcoverings.
