The SuprSense (TM) 1/2 inch OD x 1/2 inch MIP x 3/8 inch FIP fitting greatly reduces gas flow to the appliance if a gas connector is ruptured or accidentially disconnected. This CSA approved excess flow valve is commonly used for the installation of home appliances such as gas ranges and gas furnaces.
