The TMPH175 Adjustable Rafter-To-Plate Connector 1-3/4" Rafter Width is designed to make rafter-to-rafter plate connections and eliminates time-consuming bird's-mouth notching or bevel plate installation. Available in I-Joists sizes, as well as standard 2x sizes. Adjusts to pitches from 6/12 to 14/12. Constructed of 16 gauge steel with G90 galvanizing finish.
- Use all specified fasteners: 8 10d nails for plate top, 2 10d nails for plate side, and 8 10d X 1-1/2" nails for rafter.
- Not for use with treated lumber.
- Position connector on top plate. Fasten connector to outside of top plate with specified nails. Insert rafter into rafter pocket. Adjust rafter and pocket to correct pitch. Fasten rather to connector with specified nails. TMPH installation involves sliding the fulcrum until it supports the pocket at the desired pitch and nailing it down through the fulcrum base into the top plate to lock the fulcrum into position.
