The BN284 Breakfast Nook Hanger 2" X 8" is designed to carry four mono trusses in one connector. It reduces installation time and cost by providing a tested, load rated connection. Standard configuration spacing: 22 1/2 degree, 45 degree, 45 degree, 45 degree, and 22 1/2 degree. The design also included field adjustable nailing tabs. Constructed of 14 gauge steel with primer finish.
- Use all specified fasteners: 20 16d nails for carrying member, 2 10d X 1-1/2" nails per mono truss carried member.
- Not for use with treated lumber.
- Allow a 2" setback for each mono truss.
- For pitched ceiling, design mono trusses with end-vertical upset. Upset equals tangent of the ceiling slope time 5.6".
- Bend tab only once.
