Johnson's stud finder is ideal for any general carpentry projects - helps locate ferrous metal nails in wall studs and the built in level vial checks wall-mounted objects for level. To locate wall stud, place back of Stud Funder Plus against wall. Move left or right to locate the nails in the wood stud or metal stud. Nails in stud are located under Stud Finder Plus when red stud indicator points straight out from wall. Check level vial to make sure Stud Finder plus is level (bubble in vial is between the two black lines). Mark a pencil line on the wall through the marking channel.
