This has been a great hose for working with on ladders around the house and in the garage. It is lightweight and easy to manipulate. After having used the 1/4" hose at work (commercial airline hangar) I decided to purchase this hose in 3/8" for myself. Both diameter hoses will balloon noticeably when pressurized; initially it seems like a design flaw but I have seen no degradation in serviceability from it. It is easier to coil the hose when it is pressurized because it is so flexible you won't notice slight lateral twists without pressure on it. I have used two of these hoses (100' x 3/8" total length) at 6CFM at 90PSI from the tank running an air-shear cutting the steel gutters off of my house without a problem. I have not used this hose with pneumatic impact wrench, but suspect the ballooning would smooth out air delivery and improve performance. I was not using a whip hose with the shear and needed a quick connector, so with the length of the connector and strain relief I needed to use a swivel to get the correct angle on the material with the shear.
Pros: Lightweight, flexible, durable, non-marking
Cons: lengthy strain relief (although a common length for non-rubber hoses)
